The breakfast was the usual Parador standard. This is certainly a Parador to which to return. We have stayed at many of the Paradors on our drives down through Spain and have generally found them to be excellent. Jaen however does not conform to the norm.

Set high on a hill above Jaen the Parador is an old castle. Not many rooms so you must book early. The room, with balcony and great view of the valley was spacious and spotless. The hotel was very busy with many Communion parties yet the service was excellent.
